Winecall was established in August 2009 by Simon Calabria.

It actually started many years before, but that’s when Winecall obtained its liquor licence. Prior to that friends and work colleagues would often ask me to get a few extra bottles of whatever I was buying/drinking and they would add them to their wine cellars. They were happy to trust my judgement – my wine call!

Winecall is essentially an online liquor shop, but one where customers contact me (usually by phone or email) for their wine requests. It started with wine but has expanded to all fine booze – beers, spirits, etc.

We source and stock current releases, but increasingly have been acquiriing and holding stock to offer customers wines with a bit of cellar age – becming more rare in many restuarants and botteshops.
